Convention Fee is $25.00 for both delegates and observers**. (HD13 - Lāna‘i and Moloka‘i Members participating via videoconference are waived from this fee)
All members of the Democratic Party of Hawai‘i (DPH) are welcome. However, only delegates can vote. Primary party business will include the election of County Representatives to the State Central Committee (governing body of the DPH between conventions) and approval of County Convention Resolutions.

Only Democratic Party of Hawai‘i Members who are residents of Lāna‘i and Moloka‘i will be able to attend remotely.

Credentialing
Only delegates who have pre-registered and have paid their convention fee are eligible to vote for Resolutions, and State Central Committee Representatives. Observers are not permitted to participate in a vote.
The Maui County Committee Bylaws dictate who is an eligible delegate to the Maui County Convention. Delegates include Maui County Democrats who are Officers of the Maui County Executive Committee, State Central Committee (SCC) Members from Maui County, Maui County District Chairs & Vice Chairs, Maui County District Council Members, and Maui County Elected Officials.
Upon arrival, attendees' credentials will be confirmed.
The $25.00 convention fee will be collected at the door; only cash or check will be accepted.
State Central Committee Nominations - Deadline is May 1, 2026
There are two (2) State Central Committee positions who represent the Maui County Committee at-large. They each need to be of a different gender.

Submit your completed nomination form either via online or to mauicountychair@hawaiidemocrats.org along with the required $10 filing fee by May 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. HST to be placed on the ballot.


Submission of Resolutions -
Deadline is May 1, 2026

This is for Maui County Committee Resolutions only as the Maui County Convention is taking place after the deadline for County-submitted resolutions to the State Convention; resolutions pertaining to the State must be submitted directly via the State Convention Website. Resolutions submitted by individuals to the State Convention must be submitted by Monday, April 20, 2026 with the required signatures. Please refer to Rule No. 4 of the Standing Rules of the 2026 DPH State Convention.
Proposed resolutions submitted shall be in Arial, 10-point type, with one-inch margins on all sides formatted for 8.5” by 11” paper and shall be limited to one page.

Candidates and Vendors who would like to have a table at convention may donate a suggested minimum of $100** in a check made payable to “DPH- MCC.” Please reserve by emailing the County Secretary at clairekamalucarroll@gmail.com

*Per County Bylaws, deadlines for nominations should be 10 days prior to the convention. However, due to the limited time frame, the Executive Committee approved extending the deadline.

** - This solicitation is made on behalf of the Democratic Party of Hawaiʻi (DPH) for both its state and federal campaigns. Contributions to the Federal Account, combined to the state, county, and local Party committees, are limited to $10,000 per year from individuals and $5,000 per year from qualified Federal PACs, and will be used in federal and state activities. Contributions from corporations, labor unions, and federal government contractors are prohibited in the federal account. Contributions from individuals and entities are limited to $25,000 per year to the Non Federal Account. Contributions from foreign nationals and contributions made in the name of another are prohibited in both accounts. Contributions are not tax deductible.
